The Only Girl (In The World) singer will take to the stage to help the Moneyball actor raise funds to build houses for people left homeless by Hurricane Katrina, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The glitzy event in New Orleans in March - which will also promote the foundation's work to provide sustainable housing in other areas - will be hosted by Brad and US chat show host Ellen DeGeneres.

Other performers include Sheryl Crow and Seal, who recently split from his supermodel wife Heidi Klum.Sean Penn, Kevin Spacey, Spike Lee and Blake Lively will be among the A-list guests and comedian Aziz Ansari will host an after party.

The What’s My Name singer will produce and appear in the unnamed show, the winner of which will create an outfit for her headline appearance at this summer’s Wireless Festival in London.

Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts – who has previously launched her own make-up range – will front the series, to be screened by Sky Living.

Promising designers will be challenged over the course of 10 weeks to create outfits for musicians and celebrities.The channel said: “The chance to dress one of the world’s most famous women for an event that will attract worldwide coverage is the perfect springboard for the aspiring designer’s future fashion career.”

Rihanna is showing off some unusual workout gear. The Barbadian superstar tweeted a photo of herself on a Stairmaster -- in a white string bikini.

In the image, Rihanna's curly hair cascades around her face, on which she wears a pair of oversized sunglasses. The photo was presumably taken yesterday on her last day in Hawaii, as she wore the same barely-there bathing suit to a paddle-surfing lesson earlier in the day. The Stairmaster image was one of seven photos the "You Da One" singer posted of herself in the bikini yesterday.

The image led to some Twitter flirting with Khloe Kardashian. The reality TV star retweeted the photo along with the words, "Shake your tits for this woman! LOL."Rihanna responded, "Haha, come tap this @Khloekardashian!!!"

To which Kardashian replied, "Don't tempt me doll! LOL."

Rihanna also took to Twitter yesterday to bask in the news that her song "We Found Love" is at the top of the charts for another week.

"10 weeks at #1??? Yall are SO good to me, Im giggling rt now!," she said. "God is #MAJAH always! My fans run dis world!!! Thank u for the LOVE!"

She also revealed on the microblogging site that she would be performing at the Grammys on Feb. 12.

"My friends @ColdPlay and I will be sharing the stage for a performance at this years Annual Grammy Awards! #BONKERS," she wrote.

The star is reported to have arrived in Los Angeles yesterday.

While Adele may be on top in the battle for the album chart number one, the US singles chart is being dominated by Rihanna who has kept the Brit star at number two as she notched up her tenth week at number one with We Found Love.

The singer has become one of only 11 artists to have the mammoth run at top spot since the charts began 53 years ago.Adele’s Set Fire To The Rain jumped two places from four to two in the chart, but wasn’t enough to end the Bajan beauty’s reign.

Flo Rida completed the top three with Feeling Good, which was up two places on last weeks chart position.

You’ll Need: an exercise mat, some hot Rihanna tunes, and major girl power!

Full-Range Sit-Up
Start with your back on the floor with your heels secure, shoulder width apart. Leading with your chest up toward the ceiling, use the spine as it is in neutral position. Drive all the way up with your chest and, once you reach your knees, extend your arms up and straight overhead. Your shoulders should be directly over your hips.

Complete 32 reps.

Sit-Ups With Torso Rotations
Lie on your back with your right ankle resting on your left knee. Your right arm is placed on the floor out to the side. Keeping the right shoulder down, curl the left shoulder up to the right knee. Repeat with opposite limbs.

Complete 32 reps on each side.

Holding Plank
Begin in the plank position with your forearms and toes on the floor. Keep your torso straight and rigid and your body in a straight line from ears to toes with no sagging or bending. Your head is relaxed and you should be looking at the floor.

Hold this position for 32 seconds, repeat three times.

Active Plank
From plank position, take your right hand, lift it from the floor, and drive it into yourself (forward and back) like you're tapping the floor. Think about the elbow striking something behind you.

Complete 32 reps on each side. Believe us, you will be exhausted.

Roman Rotator
Stand in a horse straddle, with your feet parallel in a wide squat position with your back flat. Take your arms and lift your elbows to shoulder height. Rotate left to right, right to left.

Do this one till you’re working up a major sweat!

Another week, another Rihanna controversy.

No more than two months after having to fork out almost a $1,000,000 for plagiarizing the work of David Lachapelle in her video for the single ‘S&M’, Island beauty Rihanna has found herself being accused of stealing concepts once again.

This time from fashion photographer Sølve Sundsbø, for her latest music video, You Da One‘.

In one scene in the well received video, the vocalist can be seen writhing on the ground as spots and shadows make unique shapes on what appears to be her nude body, and it is this scene in particular that had many a Sundsbo fan labelling Ms. Fenty a copy cat.

Because, any familiar with the photographer’s work would have spotted that the scene from Rihanna’s video is almost identical to images her created with Lithuanian model Edita Vilkeviciute.

While we have a great deal of respect for director Melina Matsoukas, it is no coincidence that the four videos that have seen Rihanna come under fire for plagiarism were directed by her.

From ‘swagger jacking’ Ebony Bonez in ‘Rude Boy‘, allegedly biting Cee -Lo Green‘s ‘No One’s Gonna Love You’ in ‘We Found Love‘ and ripping of La Chapelle in ‘S&M‘, it’s high time Melina learns to generate her own ideas for Rihanna, instead of stealing the work of artists more original than she is.

Dutch magazine slurs Rihanna, and gets offended that she was offended

I am almost loathe to write about this, because the feedback could be brutal. But I must.

Apparently, some Dutch fashion magazine called Jackie thought it would be nifty and funny to do a fashion spread about how to dress just like Rihanna. I know lots of people who would love to dress like Rihanna. But they might not want to if they knew that dressing that way makes them look like a – and I was not aware that this was a thing- a “n—ab—h”. Yes. That happened. And Rihanna is apparently “the ultimate n—ab—-h”.The red-headed wonder was shockingly not thrilled about this achievement, and rather than asking that this be placed on a plaque, sent a profane Tweet to the editors of Jackie. While I might not have sent a profane Tweet while trying to prove that I was not low-class or profane or whatever that horrible word is supposed to be, I can’t blame the girl for being mad. Because they called her a … y’all, I’m not even gonna type that anymore, because it’s hard to type and because it’s stupid. How do you not know that’s offensive? Ack!

The best part of this is the response of the magazine. The editor responsible for the story quit, saying that she was sorry that she hadn’t realized that it was OK to call somebody that, and that it was a joke. Ha Ha. And then the publishers wrote a statement saying that, essentially, they were sorry that their now former editor had apologized, because they aren’t racist, and they didn’t do anything wrong and “they will not be silenced.”

Oh, lighten up, Jackie. No one’s burning down your office or stealing your printing press. They just said that they reserved their right to be offended by something offensive you said. Funny how that happens. And your editor quit because she made a joke whose blowback she couldn’t handle. You have every right to say offensive things. And we have every right not to like it. Funny how that works.

And as for the blog commentors who have said “Well, rappers say that all that time”:

- That doesn’t mean you have to.

- It’s ignorant no matter who says it, no matter what race they are. Or what gender. I have never even heard that phrase written that way, although those two unfortunate words are found all through hip-hop. And they’re ugly. No matter who says them. So stop. I don’t care if you’re a rapper, a rocker, a blogger or just someone who likes pushing people’s buttons. You say that, someone is likely to fight back. This is how it works.

- Stop hiding behind other people’s ignorance. I am not thin-skinned for being offended by something that anyone with sense might know was offensive.

So one more time. That’s a bad word. If you didn’t know that , it is. Don’t call anybody that, OK? You don’t have to ask anyone else. I don’t speak for black people, or women, or black women, or the easily offended, very often. But on this I feel confident about saying definitively. DON’T EVER SAY THAT TO ANYONE.

Rihanna has launched a scathing attack on a Dutch magazine after they racially abused her in one of its articles.

Fashion publication Jackie published a piece which apparently focused on the You Da One singer's style, but used the racist phrase "the ultimate n**gabitch" to describe her.

Rihanna confronted Jackie editor-in-chief Eva Hoeke via Twitter, writing: "I hope u can read english, because your magazine is a poor representation of the evolution of human rights! I find you disrespectful, and rather desperate!! "You ran out of legit, civilized information to print! There are 1000's of Dutch girls who would love to be recognised for their contributions to your country, you could have given them an article.

"Instead, u paid to print one degrading an entire race! That's your contribution to this world! To encourage segregation, to mislead the future leaders to act in the past![sic]"

Hoeke issued a public apology for the mistake shortly after Rihanna's tirade, but was forced to resign as editor-in-chief because of the backlash.

She announced her decision via the mag's Facebook page, writing: "I realise that my first reaction through Twitter, in which I indicated that it was a joke, has been an incomplete misrepresentation [of] what me, and also the author of the article, meant. The term 'n***abitch' came from America and all we did was [describe] a style of dress. Because of the enormous pressure through social media I was enticed to promise [an] amendment regarding the linguistic usage in future issues of Jackie.

"Apart from that I also offered an rectification. I have now come to the conclusion that rectification is not the right solution. I regret that I have taken a stand too quickly regarding an article in Jackie which moreover had no racial motive at its basis.

"Through the course of events, me and the publisher have concluded that because my credibility is now affected, it is better for all parties if I quit my job as editor-in-chief immediately. After putting my heart and soul into Jackie magazine for eight years, I realise that these errors - although without malicious intentions - are enough reason for leaving."

Rihanna was also the victim of racial abuse in Lisbon this week, after she claimed she was confronted by "the most racist [man] ever" at a hotel.

The 'You Da One' singer finished her huge 98 date tour in the English capital, and thanked fans for all their support over the last year.

Before her encore of 'Take A Bow', 'Umbrella' and ' We Found Love', she told the crowd: "I cannot believe this is the last show. It really sucks. I'm going to miss you all so f***ing much.

"This tour has been one of the best experiences of my life, I've grown so attached to you all - more than I ever thought I could be."

The Loud Tour ran from June to December and included dates in North and South America and Europe, including 11 nights in total in London, with the final three filmed for a live DVD.However, the tour was not without upset as the 23-year-old star had to cancel two dates in Sweden in November due to exhaustion.

The crowd last night (22.11.12) included fellow pop singer Cheryl Cole, who was hugely impressed with Rihanna's singing.

She tweeted afterwards: "Just left last #Loud concert. Amazing!! To put on 98 of the same shows like that and give your all takes something special. (sic)"

Tweeting the star directly, she added: "Congratulations on completing your tour @rihanna Have an amazing Christmas, well deserved break and another amazing year! (sic)"

Rihanna has now flown out of the UK and is expected to spend Christmas with her family.

The Bajan star did some impressions of the business brains during a break while filming her latest video on Wednesday.

The shoot was at the location in Stoke Newington, north-east London, that was originally used to film the BBC2 show.

And the Den, now a chill-out room, remains untouched.

Producers positioned the chairs like they are on Dragons' Den and gave Rihanna some catchphrases to blurt out. A source said: "Rihanna was happy to play along. She was prompted to say things like, 'I'm Out' and, 'I'll offer you 20 per cent of the business'.

"The crew were in hysterics."

Next time she's filming in the UK her bosses should book a location used for a programme more up her street.

Yup, we love the news of a cool new crop, especially from someone as funky as Ri-Ri. Not one to shy away from ever-changing hairstyles, Rihanna skipped on stage donning her fancy blonde bob and of course it went down a treat - the singer always manages to pull off even the trickiest of trends (remind yourself of her on-going hair flairs here).With a bit of further investigation and detective work, we have found out the precise origin of this fro, which came about yesterday afternoon. Yes, in true Ri-Ri style she was pictured on the set of her new music video (shot in the very grimy-glam London area of Dalston) for her upcoming single, You Da One, sporting the blondeness, and it seems she decided to keep it on for her show later on that day. Dressed up in a Clockwork Orange inspired outfit, the chin-length wig was teamed with a bowler hat and heavy bottom lashes in tribute to Stanley Cubrick’s epic film. Later on for her gig, Ri-Ri changed into a far more racy outfit, obvs, and her trusty rainbow-gemmed hot pants and bra were given an outing. Last month she became the fastest solo artist with 20 Top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, slower only than the Beatles. She has pumped out these hits with little regard for style or mood - breezy dance tracks rub up against poignant gothically ruptured rock-soul ballads. Her voice is, for the most part, certifiably blank, which is to say it belongs everywhere.

It hasn't always had a home. "Talk That Talk" (Island Def Jam), her sixth album, is maybe the first to suggest the place that has been hiding in plain sight all along, putting Rihanna at the center of the pop genre best suited for a singer of her fundamental evanescence - dance music, which conveniently is the mode du jour of contemporary R&B and pop.Rihanna's version of this sound dates to the club music of the 1990s, an era in which she would have shone. The best songs on this lively and often great album sound synth-perfect for that time.

"We Found Love" almost criminally recalls the swinging Crystal Waters singles, with triumphant percussion somewhere between church and seventh-inning stretch. "Where Have You Been" is even better, with hard, chilly synths, snares from the poppier side of house music, and Rihanna moving in and out of a curled Siouxsie Sioux tone.

"I been everywhere, man/looking for someone/someone who can please me," she sings. "Are you hiding from me yeah/somewhere in the crowd?"

"Talk That Talk" is the blithest Rihanna album, which is saying a lot. It has none of the dark, wounded subtext of her more recent albums, almost no sign of scarring left by her tumultuous and abusive relationship with Chris Brown that seemed to hover over her more recent work.

"Cockiness (Love It)" is a triumph, its beat by producer Shondrae a booming industrial jumble, and Rihanna easing out come-ons as if she were lapping up milk. That's followed by "Birthday Cake," 80 seconds of squelchy bounce and consumption metaphors.

Like Jay-Z and Kanye West's "Watch the Throne," this album has major parts recorded in hotel rooms, a testament to the globalization and rootlessness of pop, to the outlandish prices of conventional studio time, to the desire to create in an environment of luxury, a liminal space with no repercussions.

That can make for an ungrounded overall experience. When Rihanna veers from the fleet stuff, she's less certain. "Watch n' Learn," which has flickers of Beyonce's "Party," has good mouthfeel but no taste. On "Farewell," it's tough to tell if the words have feeling, because Rihanna's voice doesn't.

When she shows emotion, as on "Drunk on Love," she shouts the lyrics ("I wear my heart on my sleeve!/Always let love take the lead!/I may be a little naive!") but staggers around the melody, a victim of trying to feel too hard.

Officials at the Supreme Audiovisual Council of France have banned the gritty promo from airing on TV before the watershed at 10pm due to its explicit content.

Authorities criticised Rihanna's "self-destructive" behaviour in the video, which features the singer smoking cigarettes, shoplifting and being spanked.

Rihanna puts 'major fixer' home on the market

Pop star Rihanna has listed a Beverly Hills Post Office-area home at $4.5 million, substantially less than the $6.9 million she paid two years ago.

The listing describes the house as a "major fixer" with "extensive damage from moisture and water intrusion" at the roof, windows, doors and balconies. The home's water problems are the subject of a lawsuit the singer filed this summer in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

The property will not qualify for bank financing, according to the listing, so potential buyers will need cash, a contractor and perhaps an umbrella, to borrow the title of one of Rihanna's early hits.

The 7,100-square-foot home features a double-island kitchen with a 140-gallon fish tank, guest quarters with a separate entry, and a six-car garage. There are five bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

Grammy-winning pop star Rihanna’s Beverly Hill’s mansion is on the market, but according to reports the property is not so haute. The superstar purchased the contemporary 8-bedroom and 10-bathroom mansion in September 2009 for $6,900,00. In August of this year it was reported that Rihanna was less than pleased with her dwellings and filed a lawsuit against the property developer (amongst others).

Rihanna claims, in public documents, that there are tragic design and construction flaws in the home that result in rain intruding the house, even in mild storms. The lawsuit also claims the seller—named as Heather Rudomin—failed to disclose the defects, which is a fraud in California.

Rihanna has just listed her troubled Beverly Hills mansion on Monday for $4.5 million -- a far cry from the $6.9 million price she paid in 2009. The reason for the massive price drop? It could be related to Rihanna's claims that the home has structural defects rendering it inhabitable. Last August, she took those claims to court in a lawsuit filed against the home's realtors, developers and other companies that took part in the remodeling of the home.

The "S&M" singer's lawsuit claims she would not have paid $6.9 million for the home in 2009 if she had known about the problems. She claims water leaked into several rooms of the house from a balcony that lacks the proper slope and drainage after a rainstorm in early 2010. The suit states the damage left the home "uninhabitable."

Real estate blog Zillow thinks her lawsuit could have merit: "If Rihanna did, in fact, perform due diligence in purchasing the property and existing problems were not disclosed, then, in the state of California as in many other states, she would have a case."

The eight-bedroom, ten-bathroom home in the Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood was described as "stunning brand new construction" with over 10,000 square feet of living space when Rihanna first bought the property in 2009.

Now, with massive water damage and one lawsuit later, the home is looking a little different in the harsh light of day. The current listing describes the home in less glowing terms -- "a MAJOR fixer with EXTENSIVE water intrusion" and "EXTENSIVE damage from moisture AND water intrusion." Additionally, the living space is now described as a more realistic 8,520 square feet. And just so the realtors are perfectly clear, the home is both a great opportunity for a developer or contractor, but it doesn't qualify for bank financing.

Perhaps Rihanna is taking pains to be crystal clear about the home, in light of how deceived she felt after buying the place.

Excitement is building among Norwich music fans as one of the world’s largest pop bands prepares to play an intimate concert at the University of East Anglia.

Coldplay performed at the apprentice union at lunchtime today (Thursday) as part of BBC Radio 1’s Apprentice Tour, which sees DJs Fearne Cotton and Zane Lowe broadcasting live from four university towns and cities.

The band’s morning performance was be aired to a national radio audience from in the Live Lounge part of the morning show hosted by Fearne Cotton.

Just 100 students were given the chance to see the chart-topping band while others peered through the windows to catch a glimpse. The performance saw them play Hurts Like Heaven and Paradise while their “mystery cover” was a Rihanna song.

Lucy Dale, 20, who studies film and television at the UEA, was one of the fortunate fans to get the chance to see the Live Lounge set.

She said it was “like a dream”. “It’s been absolutely incredible, I can’t describe it,” said Miss Dale, who has seen Coldplay twice previous to.

Politics apprentice Thomas Shaw, 20, who was with his supporter Adam Speak, said: “It’s been incredible. The atmosphere in the room has been incredible. The fact that we got to see them with so modest people is incredible.”

The show raised the curtain for Coldplay’s evening gig at the UEA – one of the largest in the venue’s history – which will be broadcast in Zane Lowe’s show from 7pm tonight.

A spokesman for the UEA said: “This is a very rare opportunity to see a hugely well loved band, who are more used to headlining festivals, but to see them up close and personal in a excellent small live music venue.”

Eleven o’clock on a Friday night in Central London. I’m sitting on a velveteen sofa in a cordoned off area of Sophisticats, a lap-dancing club in Marylebone.

A pretty young woman called Zoe is dancing in front of me. She can’t be much older than 21, with platinum blonde hair extensions stretching down to her waist, fake nails and far too much glittery make-up.Unnervingly, she doesn’t break eye contact. There’s not a hint of awkwardness, as though she’s done this a hundred times before — which, of course, she has. Her electric green G-string has been carefully peeled off. She gives me a wry wink before dangling it inches from my face. I have no idea where to look.
I’m more than uncomfortable. But unlike Rihanna, who was spotted exiting London’s Stringfellows last week, I’m not here for fun. Another year, another Esquire list of the sexiest women to achieve list-worthy levels of sexiness for an uninterrupted 12 months. Rihanna comes out at No. 1 in the men's mag's just-released 2011 rankings -- perhaps in part because nothing makes a magazine editor's pants feel funny like a well-timed album launch. (Talk That Talk! Buy it this November!) Or, because as Esquire so tastefully puts it in their cover story, Rihanna is, in concert, "the essence of F---."

Rihanna's sexiness, however, is no new thing — though the magazine's pictures of RiRi naked and caked in seaweed and sludge are. (New, that is. The sexiness of a pop star who looks like she was dredged from the Hudson River is debatable.)

And the singer's soundbites in the piece don't seem that fresh, either. To wit: nearly three years after the fact, she's still making headlines by talking about the ex Esquire refers to as "the asshole Chris Brown."

Rihanna, however, refers to him more favourably -- exceptionally favourably considering the infamous, face-smashing events of February 2009.

Esquire has let it be known that if you’re standing under Rihanna’s umbrella or lying next to her on a California king sized bed than you’re up close and personal with the sexiest woman alive.

Rihanna is taking this news, like most things that come across her pop landscape, in stride. She knows that sexuality is a part of her persona but for the vast majority of the time it’s just on a subconscious level.

“At the end of a concert, I don’t feel like I’ve been this sexy thing. Really, I don’t even think about it.”

I think the fact that she does her thing and sexiness just comes out in a very natural way is part of why the Barbados born performer is so titillating. She did acknowledge that at least part of her live show calls for some in your face hotness.

“Unless it’s a song that really calls for it, like ‘Skin’ or ‘S&M,’ or when I cover Darling Nikki. There’s a section that’s called ‘Sex’ in the show, which is the obvious section for sexuality.”

The We Found Love singer, who is the cover girl of the November issue of Vogue UK, has told the fashion bible of her fondness for using the 'c' word and why she just wants to be left alone to make music.

"That word is so offensive to everyone in the world except for Bajans. You know African-Americans use the n-word to their brothers? Well, that's the way we use the c-word," the Barbados-born pop star said.Her mentor, Jay-Z, wasn't the one who pulled her up on her foul mouth but a member of her entourage.

"When I first came here, I was saying it like it was nothing, like, 'Hey, c...,' until my makeup artist finally had to tell me to stop. I just never know."

The 23-year-old graced the cover of the magazine wearing a short blonde wig and adorned in never seen before Armani Prive couture.

She also spoke about how different the real "Ri Ri" is from her onstage persona who sings and thrusts about on stage in barely-there costumes to her chart topping hits including S&M.

A cousin of pop queen Rihanna has vowed to follow in the singer's footsteps.

Wynta Nuvo is currently making her first album and plans to consult with the Rated R singer on how to become a star.

The 21-year-old, who has just returned from a trip to Barbados where she was visiting family - including Rihanna's father Ronald Fenty, said: 'I've just finished making Rihanna a mix-tape of seven songs and I want to see her personally to give it to her.'

Describing her music, Wynta said: 'I’ve been rapping and singing since I was little. I do a mixture of rap and pop, the Caribbean really inspires me. I’m creating dance music too, going down the highway dancing in your car type music.'

Wynta, who now lives 2,000 miles from Barbados in Atlanta, Georgia, returned to her native home this month, staying a stones throw from where Rihanna grew up as a child.
She is close friends with Rihanna’s little brother Rajad but has only met her superstar cousin twice because she left Barbados at such a young age.

Wynta admits she still gets 'anxious' around her celebrity relative because she is so famous.

She said: 'I first met her last year, when she came back for the funeral of the Prime Minister David Thompson. I saw her at the beach afterwards, she was buying a Bob Marley T-shirt. I said "Hello I’m your cousin Wynta" and she said "It’s nice to meet you".

Wynta, currently unsigned, dreams that one day she might collaborate with Rihanna.

'It would be cool to do that. We would have to do a compelling new song – or maybe I could do a rap on California King Bed,' she said.

Wynta is related to Rihanna via her deceased father Trevor.

He was the first cousin of Rihanna’s dad Ronald Fenty. The pair grew up together in Barbados meaning Wynta is especially close to her 'uncle Ronald'.

The 'Fix You' rockers teamed up with the 'S&M' singer for 'Princess of China' - which is on their forthcoming album 'Mylo Xyloto' - but frontman Chris Martin admits she had competition from Will.

He said: "There's a bit of a love story thread so we really needed someone to sing higher than me. For all Will's good intentions, he can't do it. You need to be female."

It all led up to the single's release on Thursday (September 22) morning on Facebook and the radio. As you would expect from a producer like Harris, "We Found Love" is a party-ready track. A synthy keyboard plays as Rihanna sings the opening lines of the song. It's a pretty sparse dance track that simply plays up her robotic-like vocals, a pulsing beat and a synth sound. The layers of the song are found in her vocals and Harris' production. On the song, Ri sings about finding that special someone. Singer Rihanna has filed a lawsuit against the former owner of her mansion following water leakage in the house.

According to TMZ, the 23-year-old has filed a lawsuit at Los Angeles County Superior Court claiming that the woman knew about the problems in the building, including numerous waterproofing defects, evidence of water intrusion and construction issues.

In addition to the former owner, she is also suing the inspector, real estate agents involved with the sale and engineers involved with the house.

He told MTV: "From what I understand, she is closing the album up now, and we did two records for her that she really, really loved and I'm really excited about them as well. They are records that we wrote and produced as the Jugganauts."

You might recall that back in February, the story that singer Rihanna and her director had swiped concepts from David LaChappelle‘s photographs for one of her videos, moved quickly from internet chatter to a full-fledged lawsuit.

The singer’s legal team tried to fight the suit off, claiming that usual cry of fair use, but this week, PDN reports that a federal judge “refused to dismiss David LaChapelle’s copyright claim,” and even called the decision to try and fight from that angle “misguided and ‘unavailing.’” So now, assuming Rihanna and her record label don’t just settle with the famous photographer, the case will move forward starting in mid-August. “Both works share the frantic and surreal mood of women dominating men in a hypersaturated, claustrophobic domestic space. Thus, I find that an ordinary observer may well overlook any differences and regard the aesthetic appeal of “Striped Face” and the “Pink Room Scene” as the same,” Judge Shira A.
